“On the other hand, what I like my music to do to me, is awaken the ghosts inside of me. Not the demons, you understand, but the ghosts.”

— David Bowie

“Notes from the Underground is just that. It is me awakening the ghosts inside of me. The ghosts of my ancestors. The album is the process of me hollowing myself out so that the songs of my ancestors can flow through me into the piano. I am but a vessel. A channel for their memories and love, their pain and hardships, the whole samsara previous lives to flow forth. I hollow myself and enter the underground, these are but some of the notes I found.”

— Steven Gosvener

“An instrumental album, where soft melodies of piano are bathed in the beauty of a birds song. Notes from the Underground truly cultivates the natural spirit of relaxation, the breath within life, the ability to be with being.

As the subtle body dances in the healing attunement of sound, the light of each Chakra is caressed into balance. Our bodies, vessels of sea shells, sound scapes of clouds, awakened and alive, we create space to feel as we listen.

May the beauty of our ancestors fill our lungs, may the ghosts of thy heart pour fourth from within. May we channel their love, their kindness & compassion, — their notes from the underground.”

— Wild Bronwyn
